What is Fluz?


Fluz has dubbed itself as the free app with "cash back that keeps coming back".  Like MileagePlusX, Fluz allows you to buy discounted gift cards (that never expire) for instantaneous or later redemption at hundreds of retailers through their app.  Currently, they're offering a sign-up bonus of 35% cashback on up to 3 gift cards, including the likes of Chipotle, Domino's, Spotify, Grubhub, Starbucks, CVS, and more.


Which credit card(s) to use with Fluz?

Amex has listed Fluz as a small business, so gift card purchases via Fluz are eligible for the Amex Small Biz offer that gets you $5 off a $10+ purchase (ending on September 20, 2020)!  Fluz also accepts PayPal, so you can earn 5x Ultimate Rewards (UR) on all gift cards from October 1 through December 31, 2020 if you pay with your old Chase Freedom and/or new Chase Freedom Flex cards.  They're also one of the only online retailers that sells Amazon gift cards for instantaneous redemption, while also earning 0.5% cashback.  And if you have a credit card that earns 5x at office supply stores such as the Chase Ink Cash or Chase Ink Plus, you can get 5x on their business gift cards and office supply store gift cards:

Amazon Business and Walmart Business gift cards are the same as regular Amazon and Walmart gift cards, so you can simply add the value to your existing accounts.  This means that if you hold the Chase Ink Cash or Chase Ink Plus cards, you no longer have to physically enter an office supply store like Staples to buy Amazon gift cards for 5x and you can do it in a matter of seconds with your Fluz app.

Park Hyatt Sydney review

For our trip to Australia's east coast, we started off with a 4-night stay in Sydney.  We decided to stay at the Park Hyatt Sydney as it has been consistently rated as one of the best Hyatt luxury properties worldwide.  The hotel, located in the heart of Sydney Harbor at the Rocks, is famous for its stunning views of the Opera House and Harbour Bridge. Price As a category 8 hotel, the Park Hyatt Sydney is Hyatt's most expensive award category ranging from 35k-45k points per night.  Fortunately, since we were traveling during Australia's "slower" winter season, we were able to get off-peak rates of 35k for most of our nights in a standard 1 King Bed room.
