HUGE Amex Business Platinum 100,000 Membership Rewards sign-up bonus returns

Amex has brought back their 100,000 Membership Rewards sign-up bonus for the Amex Business Platinum card.  The bonus does require substantial spending, which may not be too big of a problem for some of you:
  • Earn 50,000 MR after spending $10k within the first 3 months
  • Earn another 50,000 MR after spending an additional $15k within the first 3 months

So in total, you'll need to hit $25k in spending within the first 3 months of card approval.  You'll also earn at least 25k MR as a result of that spending for a total of 125k MR.  The Amex Business Platinum carries many of the same benefits as the personal version, including the following:
  • Access to the Amex Global Lounge Collection, which includes Centurion, Airspace, Escape, Plaza Premium, Delta SkyClub, and Priority Pass lounges worldwide
  • $200 annual airline fee credit
  • Fee credit for Global Entry or TSA Precheck
  • Automatic Marriott Bonvoy and Hilton Honors Gold elite status
  • Access to the Fine Hotels and Resorts collection
  • 5x MR on airline tickets purchased directly from the airline
  • No foreign exchange transaction fees
  • Amex Global Assist Hotline, which covers eligible emergency medical transport costs during your trip

Access the SFO Centurion Lounge

You'll notice that the annual $200 Uber credit and annual $100 Saks Fifth credit are not included.  The annual fee for the Business Platinum is also slightly higher at $595, but does include the following benefits not afforded to the personal version:
  • One year of free Platinum Global Access from WeWork, which includes access to 300+ premium, inspiring workspaces in 75+ cities
  • Annual $200 credit for purchases at Dell Computers
  • Annual 10 free Gogo in-flight WiFi passes
  • 1.5x on purchases totaling over $5,000
Access in-flight WiFi with 10 free annual Gogo passes

Bottom line

Depending on your spending and work needs, the Amex Business Platinum can be even more valuable than the personal version.  So if you've been contemplating this card or have any huge spending planned within the next 3 months, now is the perfect time with the 100k sign-up bonus promo, which ends on 12/31/2019.  The sign-up bonus alone is enough to book a roundtrip business class flight w/stopover to Asia by using ANA Mileage Club.
