Krispy Kreme offering 1 free doughnut daily for COVID-19 vaccinated individuals

As if getting a free COVID-19 vaccine to avoid catching the negative effects of the virus wasn't enticing enough, Krispy Kreme will be offering 1 free Original Glazed Doughnut daily to those who present a vaccination card with at least their first shot.  There are no strings attached, and no other purchase is required.  Starting today through the end of the calendar year, any individual with a vaccination card can walk into any of Krispy Kreme's 369 shops nationwide to get one free doughnut per day.  Per their statement:
Krispy Kreme is finding ways to be sweet as the U.S. continues to scale COVID-19 vaccinations. To show our support for those who choose to get vaccinated, starting Monday, 3/22, anyone who shows their COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card will receive a free Original Glazed® doughnut.
Now do keep in mind that eating a doughnut a day is a sure way for gaining weight in the form of fat and a pathway to diabetes.  Doughnuts are deep-fried and high in saturated fats and simple carbs like sugar and refined flour.  I would recommend taking advantage of this promo very sparingly at most, and to force yourself to run or bike to your local Krispy Kreme to at least offset some of the negative calories.

What if I don't want to get vaccinated?

There are numerous individuals who aren't fond of getting vaccinated, whether it be personal or medical reasons.  So for those who don't want to get vaccinated, Krispy Kreme will be offering a free Original Glazed doughnut and a medium brewed coffee on Mondays, 3/29/21 – 5/24/21 "to get your week off to a good start".  This will definitely be an honor system as anyone can just walk in and say that they don't want to get vaccinated even if they did or intend to.  So don't take advantage of the free coffee unless you truly don't want to get vaccinated for whatever reason.


Bottom line

It's good to see Krispy Kreme join in to battle the fight against this pandemic that's been raging us for over a year.  They're also giving their employees, most of who are considered essential workers, 4 hours of paid time off to get vaccinated if they so choose to.  And whether you're already vaccinated or plan to or not, you can get free doughnuts from Krispy Kreme.

Park Hyatt Sydney review

For our trip to Australia's east coast, we started off with a 4-night stay in Sydney.  We decided to stay at the Park Hyatt Sydney as it has been consistently rated as one of the best Hyatt luxury properties worldwide.  The hotel, located in the heart of Sydney Harbor at the Rocks, is famous for its stunning views of the Opera House and Harbour Bridge. Price As a category 8 hotel, the Park Hyatt Sydney is Hyatt's most expensive award category ranging from 35k-45k points per night.  Fortunately, since we were traveling during Australia's "slower" winter season, we were able to get off-peak rates of 35k for most of our nights in a standard 1 King Bed room.
