Chase Freedom 4th quarter 5% categories revealed
Chase has revealed their 4th quarter 5% bonus categories for their Freedom card:
On the surface, these may not seem like the best categories, especially since very few merchants accept Chase Pay, which is actually being discontinued in early 2020. However, PayPal is the world's 5th most popular online payment method, behind Visa, MasterCard, Amex, and Discover. PayPal is accepted at thousands of online merchants, including most airlines. So booking a couple of flights or buying PayPal gift cards would allow you to easily max out the $1,500, which amounts to $75 in cashback or 7,500 UR.
As a reminder, today is the last day to register for the current 3rd quarter 5% categories, which include gas stations and select streaming services. You will get retroactive credit for purchases from July 1st and on, so don't forget to register if you haven't already done so.
